How we make your photo colouring book
To make a colouring book from your photos, upload your favourites and we turn each one into a custom colouring page, then show you the whole book free. Once you’ve approved it and paid, one of our team checks every page before we print it and post it to you.

Pick 8 to 20 favourite photos: people, pets and places. Clear, well-lit photos with large faces work best, and each photo becomes a full colouring page.

Upload and personalise
Upload your photos, choose your line style (Little Hands for younger children or Detailed for older children and adults), and add your cover title and an optional dedication. Your photos stay private from the moment they arrive.

Our software draws each photo as a clean black-and-white colouring page, and every photo and page is checked automatically. If a photo isn’t suitable for a children’s book, or just won’t make a good page, we’ll ask you for another.

Choose how many copies you want (£29.97 for one, 2 copies £40, 3 copies £45 or 4 copies £50), then pay by card. One copy is £29.97 with Royal Mail Tracked 48 included; Royal Mail Tracked 24 and express printing are optional extras.

We check it’s the right book for your order, then post it flat in a plain brown, board-backed envelope by Royal Mail Tracked 48 (or Royal Mail Tracked 24 if you chose it).

How long does it take?
We print and post your book within 3 working days of your order, then Royal Mail Tracked 48 usually takes 2–3 working days.
In that time we check every page by eye, print your book and pack it flat in a sturdy envelope. Need it sooner? Express printing (£10) prints it the next working day, and Royal Mail Tracked 24 (£3) aims to arrive the next working day after posting.
Before you order, take as long as you like. The preview is free and you can come back to it from the link we email you. If you leave it, the draft and its photos are deleted after 30 days without activity.
Order by Saturday 12 December for Christmas
Your order is placed when you approve your preview and pay, so leave yourself a little time to choose photos before then. Running late? Choose both express printing and Royal Mail Tracked 24 at checkout and you can order up to Monday 21 December. Christmas dates and gift ideas.
Tips for great pages
- Choose clear, well-lit photos where faces are large.
- Mix close-ups with a few favourite places.
- Avoid dark, blurry or very busy photos.
- Photos straight from your phone work better than screenshots.
Right book, right family
If your book arrives wrong, with a printing fault or damaged in the post, we reprint and resend it free of charge.
A personalised book is no good if it goes to the wrong house, so before we seal each envelope we check that every book inside belongs to that order.
Something not right?
Email us a photo of the problem and we’ll sort it out. You won’t usually need to send anything back.
Common questions about the process
How many photos can I use?
You can use between 8 and 20 photos, and each photo becomes its own full colouring page. If you upload an odd number of photos (9, 11, 13, 15, 17 or 19), your book also gets a bonus “Our family tree” page to fill in together. With an even number of photos it isn’t included, because your pages fill the book exactly. A mix of close-ups, small groups and favourite places usually makes the most interesting book.
What if a page doesn’t look right?
You can swap any photo before you pay, and we make a new page from the replacement. Up to 10 replacements are included with every order. Our team also checks every page after you order and will contact you if one needs a different photo.
Does a real person check my book?
Yes, a member of our team checks every page against your photos before anything is printed. We also check the cover spelling and the page count, and we’ll contact you if a page needs a different photo. We print every book ourselves in the UK and check it against your order again before the envelope is sealed.
How long does delivery take?
We print and post your book within 3 working days of your order, and Royal Mail Tracked 48 usually takes a further 2–3 working days. That covers checking every page, printing in-house in the UK and packing. In a hurry? Choose express printing (+£10, printed the next working day) or Royal Mail Tracked 24 (+£3) at checkout.
